Corn starch production line

1.Corn steeping: Corn after preliminary cleaning, and the further cleaning by double cylinder screen and high efficient vibrating screen, remove large and small dust, at the same time to remove the impurity and dust under the action of wind, then mixed with a certain proportion of water after weighing, after removing the stone through stone remover, into the steeping tank. Add 0.25 to 0.35% of sulfurous acid solution soak, temperature kept at 48-52 ℃. After regular tank operation, can be very good softening corn grain, scatter surrounded starch grain protein network, to make the starch particles fully free and dissolute part of soluble matters. For steeping 50 hours, to separate the longest steeped maize with water, export the oldest soaking liquid. Concentrate the steeping water, after the dry matter content can be up to 42%-45%, it can be as the finished products or added to the corn husk powder made from fiber. Steeped corn will be transferred to the germ separating section.

2.Corn germ separation and drying: Steeped corn are transferred into the degerming mill by the process water, break the corn particles to separate the germ. Slurry into germ cyclone under certain pressure, a large number of germ contained in the overflow of hydro cyclone are sent to washing, underflow into the secondary degerming after through gravity sieve dehydration. Materials after the secondary crushing get into the secondary germ cyclone. The overflow is back to level 1 degerming after grinding, the underflow into fine grinding process. Germ separated from the primary germ cyclone into the screw press for dehydration after the gravity screen washing, and then into the Pipe Bundle Drier for drying dried materials can be measured and packaged, then as the finished products for sale or be sent to the oil process.

3.Corn fiber separation, washing and drying: The underflow of secondary germ cyclone into the pin mill after the pressure curved sieve dehydration. Screen content after the high speed impact crushing and grinding by pin mill, fiber on the adhesion of starch and protein can be separated. Washed by the pressure curved sieve groups, fiber is transported to the fiber press, then be sent to the pipe bundle dryer by the screw conveyer, crushed by the hammer mill, collected by the fan cyclone group, weighed and packed, to be the fiber powder for sale, or mixed with the starch slurry in the process of drying, then crushed, weighed and packed, to be shotcrete fiber powder for sale.

4.Starch separating and refining: Screened slurry is starch milk which contains starch and protein. Starch milk is sent to the separator for separating, and meanwhile added some water for washing, the overflow of the separator mainly includes the protein, which is transported to the protein separating section. Underflow enters into the hydro cyclone group for refining. Add the certain quantity of clean water in the process of hydro cylone group to make the density of protein and soluble matters to be decreased, and increased the concentration of starch. Refined starch milk is sent to the dewatering, drying and packaging section, or to the glucose manufacturing workshop.

5. Starch dehydration and drying: Refined starch milk is dewatered by peeler centrifuge, and to be the wet starch with less than 40% moisture content. At the same time, some dehydration slurry returns to the processing section for reuse. Wet starch is sent to the airflow drying group by winnow and mixed with the clean hot air, through the drying pipe for drying. Dried starch powder collected by the cyclone group and sieved by the starch sifter, then weighed and packed by automatic packer for sale.

6. Protein concentration, dehydration and drying: The overflow of separator includes a large quantity of protein. The overflow can be concentrated to a higher density after the work of air floating tank, and at the same time, some starch can be collected and part of process water can be separated. Protein fluid enters into the thickener for concentration, the overflow of thickener enters into the air floating tank for recycling part of protein, and get the purer process water. Thickener underflow is higher concentrated protein fluid. Concentrated protein fluid into the belt vacuum filter for dehydration, and then by a screw conveyor into tube bank dryer for drying. Dry gluten broken by hammer mill and get the qualified fineness of gluten, collected by the cyclone group, after weighting and packing to be the finished product for sale.
